Johnny Depp stars in another Pirates of the Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides.
The movie also stars Penelope Cruz as Angelica, the woman from Captain Jack Sparrow's (Johnny Depp) past, and Ian McShane as Blackbeard.
Unfortunately, the characters of Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are not in this sequel. But franchise veterans Geoffrey Rush as Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs are still present in this movie.
Synopsis:
When Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), he's not sure if it's love—or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.
Screenplay for all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, and while the first three movies were directed by Gore Verbinski, this fourth installment has a new director – Rob Marshall (Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, Nine).
Filmed in Disney Digital 3D, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides comes out May 20, 2011.
